Basic Security Guard Level 2

This program is designed for future security guards, that do not have a valid certification in Emergency First Aid and CPR level C. Although, certification is valid for three years, it is recommended that re-certification be done every two years. The skills training in this program shall follow the standards prescribed by Bill 159 and the Private Security and Investigative Services Act, 2005.

OLET has set up a credit system for the new mandatory training requirements effective April 15th 2010. Applicants whom take this course and would like to meet the mandatory training under the PSIG may use the completion of this course as credit to fulfilling the required training. The Ontario Law Enforcement Academy shall issue a Certificate of Completion to the individual completing the course. The certificate shall identify the course taken, the number of hours of training provided, identification of the issuing entity, name of the individual and instructor and the date of issue. First Aid certification will be issued through Toronto EMS Cardiac Safe City Program and is WSIB Approved.
